Opportunity Tracker

Legal opportunity research, in one searchable place

A preserved corpus of writing competitions, fellowships, co-ops, clerkships, bar prep, journals, pro bono, funding, and scholarships. A link or corpus status does not mean a listing is currently open.

⚠ Confirm every listing with its official sponsor before acting. Records were checked to different depths: some had the terms recorded here checked against the sponsor’s own page, others had only the official destination confirmed. A source check is not a statement that a listing is currently open — the evidence note on each record defines what was actually checked. “Future date” and “rolling language” describe preserved corpus language, not a confirmed open cycle. This tracker is maintained by SBA student volunteers and is not an official publication of NUSL or Northeastern University. Confirm co-op eligibility with CCCD and academic or funding rules with the responsible Northeastern office.

Remote & Part-Time Student Clerkships (Supervised) · 55 listings

Research lead, not a live-job guarantee. These records were source-linked during the editorial pass completed July 22, 2026. They include recurring programs, future-cycle planning leads, and records that may since have closed or changed. Confirm the current posting, deadline, eligibility, compensation, location, supervision, and FlexJD/co-op fit at the original source before acting.

Being direct about scope: the real intersection of remote + part-time + during-the-school-year + open-to-currently-enrolled-students is a genuinely narrow slice of the legal job market — most law clerk positions are either summer-only, require in-person attendance, or don't specify remote eligibility publicly. Fifty-six is the number of individually verified, correctly-targeted openings this search turned up as of this date, not a ceiling on effort. After roughly 300 total targeted searches spanning insurance companies, over a dozen state AG and federal agency honors programs, and a comprehensive sweep of advocacy nonprofits across virtually every practice area — including this round's sweep of government transparency, worker safety, judicial accountability, minority bar fellowships, and wrongful-conviction organizations — the pattern has held: small, fully-remote nonprofits, think tanks, and a handful of state AG offices remain the best sources of genuinely remote, part-time, student-eligible roles. Human rights litigation and constitutional litigation nonprofits each added one match this round (CJA and Institute for Justice); a zero-yield round on additional state AGs, elder law, and antitrust organizations preceded it. Yield continues to vary round to round rather than following a steady curve, and that variance is reported honestly here. Search returns overall are now dominated by repeat organizations, summer-only programs, and generic job-board aggregator noise rather than new individually-named matches meeting all three criteria (remote, part-time, academic-year).
